Thyroid cancer and Pregnancy
60% Thyroid cancer patients before pregnancy had an excellent response to therapy, 15% had structural incomplete response Some thing present of imaging , and 10% had biochemical incomplete Only thyroglobulin but no structure.
After pregnancy, 5% of participants experienced structural disease recurrence or progression. Structural incomplete before pregnancy, 30% disease progression, 10% required additional therapy after delivery.
None of the 60% of patients with excellent, indeterminate ( inadequate evidence) incomplete or biochemical incomplete prior to pregnancy developed structurally identifiable disease after a full-term delivery.
10% of the structural incomplete required additional treatment during postpartum years.
Response-to-therapy prior to pregnancy is an excellent predictor of pregnancy-associated disease recurrence/progression.
