It is sad that the richest country in the world still operates on most benign nodules in 2018.

This is the cause on unnecessary hospitalization, surgery, post op complications, hospital infections, even death. Also weeks of recovery, lost time from work.  ThyroidRF requires no hospital visit,  surgery and no major complications or no term side effects. It is done in one or two visits and there is no down time as the patient can go back to work that day.

Since 2002 when radiofrequency ablation RFA was first used to treat benign thyroid nodules by Dr.Baek from Seoul Korea this treatment has become the treatment of choice in many countries but not the USA.

The patients with treatable benign thyroid nodules in the US, and Canada are living in third world countries and are subjected to over-treatment for their nodules with thyroid surgery. How can the most powerful country in the world be so far behind the rest of the world?

For many years Korean companies with state of the art thyroid friendly radiofrequency ablation systems have failed to get the FDA to approve their use in the states. The companies with approved systems  in the US do not have the kind of systems that can be safely used on the thin neck area where the thyroid resides. Electrodes too long, and too thick.

The list of countries with thyroid RF systems designed by the Korean companies is long.

Even small Latvia has thyroid RF treatment for thyroid nodules. Italy, China,France, and Korea are among the leaders in thyroid alternative systems for thyroid nodules.

Thyroid Ethanol Ablation PEI is a simple procedure already allowed in the USA, but rarely suggested by the primary physician. Most experts in the world consider PEI is the treatment of choice for thyroid or parathyroid cysts. Why do physicians continue to refer to surgeons for an expense and dangerous  surgical procedure over a safe inexpensive out patient PEI for their patients? There are physicians willing to do PEI in the USA, so the patient must look on the internet to find one near them.

PATIENTS:

YOU SHOULD BE MAD AS HELL AND DEMAND THAT YOUR PHYSICIANS BEGIN TO REFER PATIENTS FOR THESE MINIMALLY INVASIVE PROCEDURES THAT ARE PROVEN SAFE AND EFFECTIVE. WHY SHOULD THEY HAVE TO GO TO SURGERY BECAUSE RFA IS STILL NOT APPROVED IN THE US. WRITE LETTERS TO THE FDA DEMANDING APPROVAL OF THYROID FRIENDLY RFA SYSTEMS FOR SOLID NODULES. WHY SHOULD THEY GO TO SURGERY BECAUSE THEIR FAMILY PHYSICIAN WONT REFER TO INTERVENTIONAL THYROIDOLOGISTS FOR SIMPLE ETHANOL ABLATION FOR THYROID CYSTS CONSIDERED THE TREATMENT OF CHOICE IN THE USA.

Call me for details on both RFA referral to Italy or Korea for solid nodules and to a US interventional thyroidologists for ethanol for cysts.

    Hi!
I’ve been diagnosed with a large benign cyst in my left thyroid lobe. Because of my compressive symptoms my doctor here in Sweden wants me to remove my thyroid, i’ve opted for PEI treatment since it seems like the best option to me but he seems to think that’s something close to witchcraft. To my question: Do you know of any clinic in Europe that performs PEI?

    • Dr Guttler July 24, 2018 7:46 am

      Mikael,
I have been doing PEI for cysts and cancer for over ten years.
Send me your records and if I approve you are a candidate you
can come to see me for an overnight stay for the treatment.
The only one in Europe is presently out with an illness.
We don’t know when he will return.
Call me at 1-310-393-8860 or thyroid.manager@protonmail.com.

    Hi doctor,

I have been diagnosed with an encapsulated small tumor, classified in the Bethesda IV category.

Can RFA be used in this case or only on benign nodules.

I want to consider all options before getting my thyroid gland removed.

    Thanks.

    • Dr Guttler November 24, 2018 8:58 am

      Daniela,

Ethanol or RFA can be used if the nodule is <1.5 cm.
Class IV is not definite cancer.
You need molecular markers and an evaluation to see if you are a candidate.
      Call 310-393-8860 for details.

    Dear Dr. Guttler,
My name is Lucy, from Toronto Canada.
I have multi nodules on both side of my thyroid. And the biggest one is around 3 cm on both sides. On my right side, there are three measurable ones and on left side, 4 measurable ones. Some are cold, some are hot. I had nidle October 2017, all are benign. Since January 2017, I have been suffering hyperthyroidism. And my life quality is not good at all. Before I go to remove my thyroid. I would like your opinion, If I am a candidate to RFA or any other option for me? If possible, I can do the procedure in Canada?
    Thanks

    Lucy

Possible but would need complete evaluation.
Also need to travel to Italy or Korea.
Radioiodine is the treatment of choice in the US and Canada.
Call for evaluation 310-393-8860 or email to thyroid.manager@protonmail.com.
