What is the cost of RFA on a benign thyroid nodule? It is unfortunate that it is not covered by insurance. Thank you for any information you can give me. I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I really do not want this surgery but I am very uncomfortable with this 3.2 cm nodule on my R-thyroid. Sincerely, Lisa L Byng

      Lisa,
It depends where you go for the treatment.
The fees are based on where you have the treatment.
Hospital based treatment costs done by radiologists can run
300-500% higher than when it is done in a private
      endocrinologist’s office. An Interventional radiologist
on the east coast charges 50 % more than in my practice.
It is all out of pocket as there are no CPD codes and it is
not covered by insurance or Medicare.
      Call me for details
