Thyroid cyst before PEI
Ultrasound guided needle inserted into the center of the cyst
Needle placement prior to withdrawal of cyst fluid
Fluid has been removed and now the saline rinse followed by ethanol
added to inject.
After several minutes the ethanol is removed.
Post PEI ablation of the cyst.
Patient leaves my center in 30 minutes and can go back to work.
Can’t same the same for surgery!
