302 patient’s nodules were evaluated to see if RFA was as effective as ethanol for solid, mixed cystic and cystic nodules.

Cystic nodule reduced faster but at 6 months there was no difference.

RFA is as effective in both solid and cystic nodules, but mostly cystic can be treated less expensively with ethanol PEI than RFA.

Comments: Large mainly cystic nodules are still best treated in my center with Ethanol Ablation PEI as seen in a Patient with a huge thyroid cyst.
