Spotlight on Dr.Guttler’s 2020 RFA Treatment Problems due to the Pandemic.

After years waiting for FDA approval to use RFA for thyroid nodules it happened in 2018.

Just when we were getting up to speed and doing 16 thyroid nodules the pandemic hit.

After 3 months isolation we opened for patients to be evaluated for RFA.

We did several cases in July but the waiting list was getting longer as few dared to travel to

see me. I patient planned to come by RV from Georgia. Several plan to drive but these are the exception.

The follow up cases also are not returning after the RFA treatment. The study is on hold until patients

are feeling safe to come to see me.

Call me at 310-393-8860 or secure email to [email protected]

We can evaluate you and treat if you are willing to come to see me.

DR.G.

john age 70. had a FIN biopsy and sonogram at UCSF thyroid june 25-19.

They said wait and see. diag very low risk ptc possible lymph node involvment.

I have a lump on the right side of my neck that appeared in Feb 2020a bit swollen.

UCSF sent all info to Stanford surgeon last week,
had tele video with surgeon-thinks the lump is the lymph node in UCSF report. It was not swollen 6-25-19

surgeon wants cut my thyroid out soon. No way as i have read your web site.

What if the L node not malignant. what if nodule that had C cells last year has not grown? Had 3 nodules on right lobe. 3 on left lobe. only 1 on right lobe had the big C.

lump can be seen if you are looking for it.

never been sick, never had surgery & need to know if i can use RFA or alcohol treatment.

need advice and help. Please reply
